COOKIES AND OTHER TECHNOLOGIES

We use cookies and other similar mechanisms to learn how users use our Website and for marketing purposes, including in order to display ads to users in other online locations.

Cookies are small text files placed by websites on your computer, phone, or any other device. They contain data on how you use those websites.

Default browser settings allow for cookies to be placed and accessed on your device. Some cookies are necessary for the Website to function. In all other cases, when you first enter our Website, we will ask you for your consent to placing cookies on your device.

At any time, you may change cookies settings by means of selecting the relevant options here or by changing your browser settings. More information in this respect is available at http://www.youronlinechoices.com/pl/twojewybory. If you block specific cookies, this will be considered to constitute withdrawal of consent, meaning that we will no longer process your data in this respect.

Below, you can learn which cookies exactly we use and with which companies your data may be shared as a result.

Which cookies we use

1. Required cookies

  • These cookies ensure that the Website functions properly. Unfortunately, they cannot be turned off because this would result in the website simply not working.
  • In this respect, we use a rodoCookieSettings file, which stores your privacy settings. It shows your consent to the use of particular types of cookies on the Website or the lack of such consent.
  • Other required cookies used by our Website are intended to ensure proper functioning and manage e.g. the launching of other tracking tools you accept via the Google Tag Manager.

2. Statistical analyses related to our Website

  • We use tools that collect statistical data, which allows us to understand how users use our Website. The data we receive from these tools does not provide us with information about particular individuals and is not combined with any other data you share with us.
  • We use Google Analytics. Google may collect on its servers the data obtained from various websites through cookies and uses this information in order to compile reports related to traffic on websites.
  • The information collected by Google Analytics about users includes the number of visits to the website, the date of the first and last visit, the duration of the visits, the website from which the user was redirected to the website, the search engine used by the user, the link that was clicked, the location from which the user accesses the website, etc.
  • We use Google Analytics in such a way that your IP address is shortened before being forwarded. It is only in special cases that your full IP address is sent to the Google server in the USA and only then shortened. Your anonymized IP address processed by Google Analytics is, in principle, not combined with other Google data.
  • You can prevent Google Analytics from recording the information coming from your browser by installing a special plug-in available here. Detailed information on how Google Analytics works is available here.
  • We use HotJar, which is a tool that records data related to how users behave on the Website, including navigation, scrolling, cursor movements, approximate location, device used, operating system, and browser type. The data obtained this way is processed in a collective and anonymized manner in order to improve the functioning of the Website.
  • More information on how HotJar works is available here. You can block the measuring of your activity by HotJar by using this link.

3. Google Ads – behavioral advertising and other Google tools

  • Google collects on its servers data collected through the cookies placed on your device and uses this information in order to display ads on other websites you visit. This data is collected on all of the websites with respect to which you have enabled cookies (including our Website) and through the ads you have clicked. Google cookies usually expire after three months.
  • As advertisers using Google services, we have no access to the data contained in the cookies stored on your device, but we may commission for ads to be displayed to some of our viewers, e.g. everyone who visited our Website (or a specific sub-page on it) over the last seven days.
  • For us, this data constitutes only statistical material and we commission ads only on the basis of collective criteria (i.e. they are displayed to specific target groups and not individual users), which means that the data stored in cookies is in no way combined with the other data you share with us.
  • More information on how Google uses cookies to display ads and on how to manage your settings in terms of ads is available here.
  • As part of Google Ads, we also use DoubleClick, which allows us to measure the efficiency of advertising campaigns carried out through Google Ads and analyze their results.

4. Facebook conversion pixel

  • We use the Facebook conversion pixel in order to manage ads on Facebook and Instagram.
  • Through this tool, Facebook receives information (which is assigned to your Facebook account) that you have visited our Website. As a result, we may commission Facebook and Instagram to display ads to the persons that have visited the Website or its particular sub-pages (remarketing).
  • We then receive from Facebook only statistical data concerning the efficiency of the ads (e.g. how many people have seen our ad and how many have clicked on it), without any reference to individual users.
  • If you have a Facebook or Instagram account, we recommend having a look at the following information on personal data protection on these websites: https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/ and https://help.instagram.com/155833707900388 .

5. Social media plug-ins

  • The videos on the Website are embedded through YouTube plug-ins. YouTube is owned by Google. When you play a video on our Website, Google receives information about that fact from your browser, even if you do not have a Google/YouTube profile or are not currently logged in. If you are logged in to Google, Google will be able to assign the playback of the video directly to your profile.
  • If you want to prevent YouTube from collecting information about your activity on the Website, you may refrain from playing the video or have to log out from YouTube. You can also completely block the plug-ins on the Website by means of selecting the relevant settings here.
  • More information about data processing by YouTube is available here.

The legal basis for our use of the required cookies (as described in section 1, above) and YouTube files is our legitimate interest, i.e. the right to operate the Website, which supports our business, and the need to ensure its security. The legal basis for our use of other cookies is your consent. In connection with our processing of your personal data through cookies, you have, at any time, the rights described below.

Our use of cookies, in particular for the purposes of behavioral advertising, may involve profiling. This means that we or the marketing companies we engage may create user profiles on the basis of the information we have collected (e.g. e-mail address, history of orders, device type, technologies used, frequency of visits) and, on that basis, formulate purchase forecasts. This allows us to make decisions as to which content (including ads) should be displayed on our Website and on other websites.
